DCM: Can we meet you? Tell us about yourself, your work, and your achievements so far.

AMB. David: Thank you so much for the opportunity to share my story.

I am Ambassador. Dr. Nehemiah David. I am a global citizen, freelance linguist, educator, and advocate for sustainable development.

I hold a First-Class degree in French from the prestigious University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria,

and I currently serve as the Global Ambassador for Global Seminary University in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, I am the founder and international president of CSI French NGO International (la Communauté des Saints Intellectuels),

where we empower French students and young graduates across Nigeria and beyond.

My work has spanned various fields, including language coaching, translation, interpretation, public speaking, and film production.

My goal is to inspire excellence and help others unlock their full potential.

Some notable achievements include several outstanding awards locally, nationally, and internationally,

earning an honorary Doctor of International Affairs (DIA) and serving as an advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

DCM: What inspired you to pursue a career in languages, and how did you achieve such excellence in French?

AMB. David: Well, the French scholar you know today never had a passion for it at the beginning;

I was rather passionate about becoming a lawyer,

but I believe God made me lose that interest in pursuing law after failing my exams and seeing no future in law to pursue French.

My passion for languages was born from an early fascination with how languages connect people across cultures.

French, in particular, intrigued me because of its global significance and elegance.

Achieving excellence in French required a deep commitment to learning, practising, and staying immersed in the language.

Initially, it was like an insurmountable mountain, but with consistent diligence to it, it gradually started getting simpler and easier for me.

I studied hard, for long hours almost every night, engaged with native speakers, and embraced opportunities to teach and mentor others.

The guidance of God, alongside my determination to stand out in this field, played a significant role in my success.

DCM: Can you share your experience as a global ambassador and SDG advocate?

How do you think languages can contribute to achieving the SDGs?

AMB. David: As a Global Ambassador, I have had the privilege to promote cross-cultural communication and international collaboration, which are essential to achieving the SDGs.

Languages are crucial in fostering understanding and cooperation across borders,

especially when tackling global issues like poor education, poverty, inequality, and climate change.

Through my NGO, I emphasise the importance of multilingualism in diplomacy, good health, gender equality, innovation, justice, education,

and community development, as it allows for more inclusive dialogues and solutions.

DCM: How do you balance your various roles, from French coaching to film production? What drives your creativity and passion?

AMB. David: Balancing my roles requires discipline, effective time management, and a clear sense of purpose.

I make sure to prioritise tasks and maintain focus on what truly matters.

My passion stems from a desire to make a difference, whether through teaching, creative projects, or leadership.

I am driven by the impact I can have on others—helping them succeed and unlock their potential.

Creative outlets like film production allow me to express ideas in new and inspiring ways.

Most times, I see various vices and negative tendencies in society and creatively act on them in play to correct those happenings, especially among young people.

The Society is the mirror of my film and skit productions. We want to always communicate the right message to our audience. 

DCM: What was the most significant challenge you faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?

AMB. David: One of the most significant challenges I faced was balancing the academic rigour of my studies with leadership responsibilities,

including managing CSI French NGO International and my business.

There were times when I felt overwhelmed, but I overcame this by learning to delegate, surround myself with a strong team, and always lean on my faith.

Prayer, determination, and strategic planning helped me stay on course and excel in multiple areas.

DCM: How does your honorary Doctor of International Affairs (DIA) impact your work, and what responsibilities come with this recognition?

AMB. David: The honorary Doctor of International Affairs (DIA) recognition has expanded my platform and given me greater credibility in my work,

particularly in international relations and diplomacy.

It comes with the responsibility to live up to the expectations of those who conferred the title upon me,

and to use the position to create meaningful change in global communities.

I am committed to using this honour to advocate for language education, cross-cultural understanding, and sustainable development.

DCM: Can you share a remarkable experience or project you’ve worked on, and what made it stand out?

AMB. David: One of the most remarkable projects I worked on was launching CSI French NGO International.

What made it stand out was the impact it has had on hundreds of students across Nigeria – Africa.

It started as a small initiative to help French students,

but it has grown into a vibrant network of over 1,500 members not just in Nigeria but in other countries around the world.

Seeing how the NGO has empowered students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth is incredibly rewarding.

DCM: How do you balance your faith with the demands of your busy schedule and multiple responsibilities?

AMB. David: Balancing faith and work is a priority for me. I start each day with prayer and Bible study to keep my spirit aligned with God’s purpose.

I also make sure to set aside time for reflection and rest, no matter how busy my schedule gets.

My faith is the source of my strength, and it guides every decision I make.

I believe that when we put God first, everything else falls into place.

The Holy Spirit has constantly helped me to make the right decisions, especially in areas where I am so ignorant and confused. 

I am very intentional about it, and that is why I create time to nourish my faith despite my busy schedule. 

DCM: How do you use your work to contribute to God’s kingdom and purposes?

AMB. David: Through my work, I strive to reflect God’s love and excellence.

Whether in teaching, mentorship, or advocacy, I see it as a way to inspire others and spread God’s light.

My NGO focuses not just on academic excellence but also on character building and moral integrity.

In every sphere I find myself, I seek to be a vessel for God’s kingdom by using my skills and platform to bring positive change and uplift those around me.

DCM: What encouragement or message would you like to share with our audience who also wants to make a global impact as you do?

AMB. David: My message to anyone aspiring to make a global impact is simple: believe in your God-given purpose and pursue it with all your heart.

Challenges will come, but never give up on the dream.

Focus on developing yourself, seek opportunities for growth, and stay connected to God’s guidance.

Your impact starts with the little things—being faithful where you are and doing your best in whatever role you find yourself in.

With time, your influence will grow, and you’ll make a difference on a global scale.

Always remember, with God, nothing is impossible!
