A gauge, pattern, or mold used as a guide to the form of a piece being made. In this scenario, we will acknowledge it as a guide.
What is a Prayer template?
A prayer template should be the pattern that other prayers follow based on important reasons and in this case, our template is verified because it’s the lord himself who provided us with it before leaving the Earth.
This template has been released over hundreds of years and it’s still relevant and potent as of old. The Verified Template
How did we pray before the prayer template was released?
There is no Major record of prayer in the Old Testament before the release of the “Our Lord’s Prayer”.
But we know that almost every one of David’s psalms are forms of prayer and since at the time, Christ was not yet sacrificed on the cross of Calvary, they had to plead the blood of various animals for each of their transgressions.
Today, prayer has evolved for Christians to pass the stage of washing off our sins with the blood of pigeons and other animals.
And today we have a template to follow, and we have the Holy Spirit to direct us and the also various ministers of God to follow their leads.
According to the King James Bible Dictionary Online, “to pray means to ask with earnestness or zeal, as for a favor, or something desirable; to entreat; to supplicate; to petition; to ask, as for a favor; …”
Prayer as we know is the act of communicating with God and taking part in prayer does not necessarily have to do with needs and wants.
There are different reasons why we can reach out to God and our reasons might differ but in one way or another we have all communicated with our heavenly Father and we’ve received feedback per our prayer points.
As a healthy relationship can go sour if there is a lack of communication, it’s the same way a relationship with our Heavenly Father can go down the drain if we don’t pray often.

What brought about the verified prayer template?
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place.
When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples” (Luke 11:1 NIV).
The Lord’s prayer is not just a prayer said by the lord but also a template for our prayers generally as Christians.
How does it go?
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
Matthew 6:9-13
“Our Father who art in heaven”
Means Jesus is referring to God’s personality as a father, one who resides permanently in heaven.
He acknowledges who God is, Declaring the fact that you know and believe He is God, and also the angle from which you see him.
When you want to start your prayer, you can start with the personality that is most glaring in your life.
Examples of acknowledgment you can give God at the start of your prayer include: “Rock of Ages, El-Shaddai, Jehova Nissi, Heavenly father, I Am That I Am, Alagbada Ina (The one who is clothed with fire], Alade wura (one with crown of gold), and so on.
Acknowledging God is also calling him his names, you hype him up, call him as many of his names as possible, you can even come up with new names for him and it can be in any language of your choice.
“Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him; we are his people, we are his flock” Psalm 100:3

“Hallowed be thy name……”
Honor/Praise:
Let’s talk about the word hallowed. Hallowed is an archaic way of saying that something should be made holy.
By praying “hallowed be your name” you are saying that God’s name is a holy name that should be revered, honored, and respected.
After acknowledging God and calling Him his Names, it’s only normal that you praise Him, honor Him, that you let Him know what He has done for you, how far He has come for you no matter the circumstance.
Remind him of the day He provided when it was already looking like there’s no provision, the day He performed a healing function within you or those in your territory, the way he protects you from harm and terror that comes with each day.
Just praise him, you know what he has done in your life more than I do, so why not let Him know that you appreciate those things?
Hebrews 13:15 says; “let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”

“Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”
ACCEPTANCE/FAITH:
Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”
We have total trust in Him, we believe Him to know what’s best for us.
His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, His will over every one of his lives be done on earth as it is already being done in heaven.
When you fully believe in God and you can be bold enough to say the above line at the start of your day, just know that you’re no longer in control of your life.
But the one who created you, who has the map of your life has started to steer you and he will steer you in the right directions only.
“Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
“Give us this day, our daily bread.”
Matthew 6:26 NKJV
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not of more value than they?”
Basic Human Needs”: Now we can ask, and we start to ask for our needs.
Daily bread encompasses a lot of our needs from Shelter to feeding, to source of income, to daily divine guidance in our day-to-day activities.
This is the point where we pray for our basic needs. for the provision and maintenance of every core of our human needs.
Matt 7:8 “For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
“And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us”
FORGIVENESS: There is an obvious rule attached to the prayer of forgiveness. which is the fact that you must forgive all those who offend you so you can receive forgiveness from the almighty.
Forgiveness prayer is the type of prayer that should be on the list for every kind of prayer and this prayer is done in acknowledgment of sins and in a promise to not partake in such dirty acts again.
They include Lying, Backbiting, Stealing, Fornication, Pride-and the like of it.
Prayer of forgiveness is done in all honesty without hiding any minor or major detail from the eves that can see it all.
Forgiveness is essential to any growing, healthy, and lasting relationship.
The plan of God has all to do with forgiveness. Jesus came to pay the debt of our sins on the cross, making peace with God.
Now the Lord wants us to receive the forgiveness that Jesus purchased on the cross for us!
“Lead us not into temptation.”
Guidance’; Prayer for guidance is compulsory in every area of life.

According to faithward.org “By asking God to deliver us from evil, we acknowledge that we are helpless by ourselves to follow Jesus on the path of righteousness that he modeled for us.
If, as Paul writes, we are not able to overcome our sinful tendencies, how then can we expect to stand up to forces of evil and systems of oppression?”
Whiterosereview Blogspot said “The Greek word πειρασμόν pronounced peirasmon means, putting to the trial, 1 Peter. 4:12; Hebrews. 3:8; direct temptation to sin, Luke. 4:13, 1 Corinthians 10:13; or calamity, affliction, Lk. 22:28.
In the same way εἰσενέγκῃς (eisenenkēs) can mean, “do not bring” or “do not lead”.
One commentator state that εἰσενέγκειν (eisenenkēs) in this context can be rendered, ‘do not set us before temptation’, ‘do not expose us to temptation/trial”.
Recently Pope Francis created some stir when he expressed favor for a translation that says, “Do not let us enter into temptation”.
The Roman Catholic Pontiff may very well have a point.
What is of importance is to note that the translation of scripture in the modern age is often the work of ecumenical scholars who join together in examining ancient manuscripts to come up with the most acceptable text possible across the Christian spectrum.”
“‘But deliver us from evil.’”
“For yours is the kingdom, thy power, and thy glory. forever, amen.”
