The Power of Mercy and Truth

Truth without Love is just a letter that Kills!

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

So shalt thou find Favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3-4 KJV

The opening scripture says to bind mercy and truth in one’s neck and carve it into one’s heart, never forsaking it.

What is mercy and truth?

These two virtues mustn’t be separated, for what is love without truth and truth without love?

Beloved, when you walk in love and mercy, the truth of God’s Word is your guide.

Otherwise, without the truth, you are susceptible to abuse, deception, and lies.

In the same way, truth without love is just a letter that kills (2 Corinthians 3:6).

The Power of Mercy and Truth

2 Corinthians 3:6 KJV :

who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament;

not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

There’s no life in such a thing.

Thus, you walk in both without forsaking and forgetting, and you will find favor in the eyes of God and men.

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for initiating mercy and truth in us so that we may know what it looks like and have it abound on our necks and in our hearts.

Thank You for giving me the wisdom to apply mercy and truth altogether so that I may walk according to Your perfect will in Christ Jesus.

I bless Your name and exalt You forever in Jesus’ name!
