The Lion
Attributes that bring about efficacy in our Spiritual life!
Author: Vanessa Bryan
Some living creatures mentioned in the Bible depicts the glorious characteristic of Jesus that we must possess to be effective Christian.
As we examine the nature of the lion, you will learn how to exhibit the attributes that bring about efficacy in your spiritual life.
The Lion!
Majesty
One can only imagine the splendor of heaven.
All of the sights and sounds that seem to express themselves so loudly and vividly around the throne of God.
Angels that have the specific function of exuding worship and adoration sing for joy in every given moment.
The elders cast their crowns at the feet of God, and they bow in reverence before Him.
Christ is being crowned with many crowns, as He holds a scepter to rule the nations.
This is a scene of utter awe and majesty of the King of Kings.
The lion may not be the biggest animal in the animal kingdom,
but he is certainly at the top of the hierarchy.
There is something about the lion that commands respect and reverence from every other creature that is in his surroundings.
Likewise, as a child of God, we are products of royalty.
If the Spirit of Jesus Christ resides in us, then we must understand that we are part of a royal family.
Our patriarch is the King of the universe.
When you walk with this revelation, then you will realize that certain lifestyles and habits are not befitting for someone who is in a kingdom.
If you allow Him, the Holy Spirit will examine your life and show you the areas where you are living beneath the original standard of God.
Today, do not fall for the lie of the enemy.
Do not allow yourself to settle for a life that is of a lesser quality than what the Lord has for you.
Rise up, put on your royal robes, and walk in the confidence of the Spirit.
The Lion.
Revelation 4:6-11 KJV
[6] And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal:
and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
[7] And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
[8] And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him;
and they were full of eyes within:
…they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
[9] And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
[10] the four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne,
and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
[11] Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The Lion!
Dominion
The aura of reverence and majesty that surrounds a lion is well merited.
He subdues all opposition, and he triumphs over his enemies.
By his ability to fight, he gains dominion over all things.
Jesus has shown us the ultimate example of spiritual warfare.
From the time of Adam, man was supposed to subdue the earth.
However, the serpent deceived him, and the authority landed in the wrong hands.
God had to set a plan in motion, and that plan came in the person of Jesus Christ.
His death on the cross was the outward expression of the war on sin and death,
and his resurrection was the physical evidence of having total dominion over the enemy.
Dominion does not come without a fight. There is always a price to pay to become a victor.
Nevertheless, if the Lion of Judah lives in you, there is no reason to be afraid of the enemy.
Fight, subdue, and be victorious!
The Lion!
Decrees
When a king makes a decree, it must go into effect.
The lion’s decree is his roar.
When he opens his mouth, everything within the sound of his voice begins to scatter.
As it is in the natural realm, so it is in the physical realm.
When God spoke, everything in creation aligned itself to the command.
The Lord has given us a system through prayer where we can repeat His promises and set things in motion.
Even in the moments when we may not have the words to say, the Holy Spirit gives us utterance,
and we start to decree the mind and the intentions of God on the earth.
Jesus prayed that the will of God be done on the earth as it is in heaven.
As we are the ambassadors of the heavenly kingdom,
we are granted this advantage to make declarations, commanding every obstacle to give way.
Power is on your tongue!
Job 22:28-29 KJV
[28] Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: And the light shall shine upon thy ways.
[29] When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up; And he shall save the humble person.

Authority
Authority has an element of being an “unspoken power”.
It is something that does not have to be officially announced,
yet everything and everybody in the surrounding area understands it.
Lions do not have to have a sign to tell everyone that he is a lion.
His boldness precedes him.
Interestingly enough, demons also know the power of Christ without anyone having to tell them.
Even if there is no interaction between a child of God and a demonic entity, they still know and understand authority.
The enemy is counting on you not to know just how much power God has invested in you.
Being ignorant of this opens the door for the enemy to deceive many.
By searching through the scriptures, stand in your lion nature,
and be confident in the God who has placed His seal of approval upon your life.
As long as you remain connected to Jesus and you are partnering with the Holy Spirit,
you will operate in a supernatural dimension of power.
Claim your identity as royalty, and may you manifest as a true child of the King.
