The Eagle
Attributes that bring about efficacy in our Spiritual life!

Divinity
Like the lion is on the ground, the eagle is regarded as being the “king of the air”.
The eagle soars majestically through the skies, and it is compared to none other.
As human as Jesus was, He still carries the title of the One whose name is above all names.
God has so much regard for mankind, that He has given us a “heavenly seat” at His table.
Through the name of “Jesus”, we can access the throne of God at any given moment.
And Through us, God works signs and miracles, demonstrating His divinity over natural elements and processes.
As an eagle dominates the air, the Lord gives us supernatural abilities and gifts to dominion over demonic powers.
If life has broken your self-esteem and you feel like there is nothing special about you,
know that the Lord has created you to be the carrier of His power.
You are the image of His divine nature. All you have to do is just believe…
1 Corinthians 12:5-11 KJV
[5] And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
[6] And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. [
7] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
[8] For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
[9] to another faith by the same Spirit; (and) to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
[10] (also) to another the working of miracles; (and) to another prophecy;
to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
[11] but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Vision
The eagle has an extremely sharp field of vision.
They see things from miles away, and with this sight, they are able to take action.
Eagles are characterized by their level of vigilance.
Whether it is to locate their prey, or whether something is attacking its nest, the eagle is always on high alert.
God gives us the gift of prophecy to equip us for the seasons of our lives.
Through this method, we receive instructions on how to prepare for what is coming.
Whether it is to prepare for a blessing or an attack, God gives us foresight if we are connected with Him.
Not only does the eagle see things from afar, but the eagle’s perspective is from a totally different angle.
The eagle is able to see “the bigger picture”.
As believers, it is important to see the bigger picture in all that we do.
Our actions will be more deliberate, and we will be more mindful of our words if we have the bigger picture in mind.
We will consider how our words and actions affect the progression of the mission of the kingdom of God, either positively or negatively.
We will learn to pick our battles as well.
An eagle does not get entangled in every fight, even when it is seen from afar.
They only engage when it is absolutely necessary.
There are some arguments that are better left alone because it does not edify the global body of Christ in any way.
Meaningful encounters with people bring about change.
Today, make a decision that you will no longer be overtaken by trivial matters,
but by the eyes of the Spirit, you will see from the heavenly perspective.
1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV
[32] And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times,
to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

The Eagle
Agility
The eagle has the capacity to soar in adverse winds.
With raised wings, the eagle uses the current to uplift itself, taking advantage of the moment.
Many people feel shut down in inconvenient circumstances, without seeing the advantage that is afforded to them.
Oftentimes, in our prayers, we are asking God for a way around a situation, whereas God has used the storm to bring victory.
In those moments, He shows us how to be spiritually agile.
At times, the “escape route” is through the circumstance itself.
Even if the enemy has planned the attack, the Lord has a way of bringing victory.
You do not have to run from the problem, instead use the adverse winds to soar to higher levels of tenacity.
Discipline
Eagles have a process called “molting” that they go through every so often.
This process involves the shedding of their plumage to make room for a fresh new set of feathers.
In other words, they “shed” off the former covering, and take on the new one.
As the eagle, there are certain things that need to be shed off of our lives.
Spiritual immaturity may need to be shed off and replaced with newfound discernment.
Maybe you might be too comfortable where you are, whereas God is calling you back to a place of intensive prayer.
It will take your discipline to grow into the man or woman that God is calling you to be.
Today, rise to the challenge of shedding off old habits.
As you do so, may the Lord cover you in a new “plumage” of strength, maturity, discipline, and grace.
1 Corinthians 13:11 KJV
[11] When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
The Eagle
Altitude
There is an altitude that an eagle is accustomed to flying, that other birds are not able to attain.
The reputation of the eagle is that of a bird who can raise itself to a height that the masses of other creatures are unable to reach.
The higher you go, the thinner the air.
Even among humans, some countries are set at a higher altitude, which can be difficult for a visitor to breathe if their lungs do not properly adapt to the new atmospheric conditions.
Children of God are demanded to live up to the standard of God.
He demands holiness from us, in a world of carnality.
Everybody admires the majesty of the eagle, but we seldom observe how the eagle has distinguished itself from the multitude.
Christ intermingled with sinners, yet He remained untainted by the world.
He was the force of influence for His community, without being subject to the pressure of cultural norms.
Remember that you carry the spirit of the eagle.
Be an agent who will raise the standard of holiness in your generation.
Being an oddity is not disadvantageous, but it is rather a distinguishing factor.
As an eagle, stand bold to be the example of God’s higher standard of righteousness in the world.
