The Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has urged his members to desist from referring to him as “biggest daddy”.
Pastor Kumuyi, while teaching the Bible Study in his church on Monday, corrected those calling him “biggest daddy”, saying that such a title belongs to God as He alone deserves to be referred to in that manner.
“I’m a teacher, preacher and pastor. Let’s use ‘convener of GCK’ when we’re at the crusade. Or is this a crusade? Answer na! This is Bible Study!
” And to our young people. Let me address this now. What’s the biggest daddy? Biggest daddy! Biggest daddy! I’m not the biggest daddy. For us to have the biggest daddy, then it means there’s a big daddy, bigger daddy and then, biggest daddy. What then is God? I’m your daddy, your father in the Lord… Is that okay? ”.
This latest correction is coming not long after a video of pastor Kumuyi warning the ushers to stop chasing people who come to church without a hair covering went viral on social media.
The admonition generated mixed reactions on social space with many surprised at what they saw as the drastic changes in stance of the preacher.
