What exactly is wrong with this generation?
“He who watches the news know what’s going on in the world but he who reads the bible knows why”,
When I came across this post on my social media it caught my attention immediately and I knew why.
The war news (most especially Israeli Palestine? famine? gender issues? persecution? Fake Jesus(es) news? Scary love for fame and money? and the likes of it….
Are we living in the last days?

Have you been watching the news on television and wondered “What’s the world turning to?”
Or you are part of those asking, “What exactly is wrong with this generation?”
Tragic things happening left and right, and we don’t even have any idea what is in stock for us.
But the good part is that all of these things, every single one of them has been foretold in the bible.
and the best part is that these tragic happenings will be followed by wonderful happenings in the nearest future.

How did all this even come to be?
So, Jesus had something to do in the temple and after He was done, He was leaving with his disciples, and he pointed to the temple and said:
“See ye not all these things?
verily i say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down”.
okay, so this caught their attention, and they asked him:
“Tell us, when shall these things be?
what shall be the sign of thy coming,”, And He starts to list them.
Mattew 24 is the only part of the bible where Jesus told us what to expect in the beginning of the end times by himself.
The key to making sense of the chaos and uncertainty ongoing around the world is to listen to what the bible has been saying all this while.
All we need to survive these times has been given to us in the bible,
the bible says we must prepare our hearts and minds by being self-controlled and sober minded.
We must be alert, watchful and prayerful while trusting the lord and believing his word.

Beginning of the end checklist (happened)
Many shall be deceived: Mattew 24:31 –
In fact, many are being deceived already.
Majority in the name of religious activities that are not biblical, fake prophets.
And now if you don’t have spirit of discernment when you listen, watch or read some Christian contents, you will be brainwashed into believing another thing entirely.
Not to everyone who identifies as a Christian is a born-again Christian.
and not everyone who produces whatever content in the name of Christian content is adhering to biblical instructions.
“Not everyone who calls me their Lord will get into the kingdom of heaven. Only the ones who obey my Father in heaven will get in.”
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”
“But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Lots of fake Jesuses

“For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.”
We’ve had numerous cases of people claiming to be ‘Jesus’ and ‘God’.
The most recent case is A 27-year-old.
he is the founder of Umuzika Nkulunkulu church, Pumula South in Zimbabwe, who told his followers to call him God because the Holy Spirit descended on him and declared him God!!?
Some other messiah claimant has come before him and there are many others who are yet to start theirs.
Wars and rumors of wars
The Ukraine – Russia war, The Israel – Palestine war amongst other civil wars in other countries across the world.
Mattew 24:6 “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
Christian& Jews persecution
According to Wikipedia, as of 2018: Christians face harassment in 145 countries across the world.
Since 2009 in Nigeria-Africa, the Islamist terror group Boko Haram has murdered over 50,000 Nigerian Christians.
They reportedly pledged their support to Islamic State (ISIS).
And they’re still on rampage, burning churches, killing pastors, kidnapping, and killing Christian’s generally,
They hand down jungle justice for anyone who dares blaspheme against their religion and so on!
Matthew 24:9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.”
Revelation 2:10–11 “Do not fear what you are about to suffer.
Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation.
Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.”
Love of many shall wax cold-
This is when the fervency and the intensity with which some started serving God will begin to go down.
The fire will no longer be there in their eyes and their shoulders will no longer be squared.
Matthew 24:12-13 “12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

Jerusalem compasses with armies and the desolation is nigh: –
Jesus Christ gave us a warning sign of the end of the age:
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled” (Luke 21:20-22).
Euphrates river drying up: –
Revelation 16:12- “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates;
and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”
Today, the Euphrates River has been reportedly drying up.
According to the Center for strategic & International studies (csis),
“The Euphrates River is at risk of drying up due to climate change.
Temperatures in northeastern Syria have risen by one degree Celsius compared to 100 years ago,
and average rainfall has decreased by 18 millimeters per month per century.
The Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources warns that the river could be dry by 2040.”
Though the Euphrates River has not completely run dry, it has experienced drastic swings in water levels over the years.
The lowest level yet.
Love of worldly pleasure more than God
2 Timothy 3:1-5 New Living Translation (NLT)
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
For people will love only themselves and their money.
They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful.
This Content is an alarm that’s meant to rouse believers wherever they are across the world,
It is meant to continue to arrest our attention towards these signs, and also meant to keep us on our toes to give us a preview of what to expect.

Why do we need all this?
The purpose of the end-time is to eventually separate the grains from the shafts to separate believers from just Christian and other worldly compatriots.
The purpose of this alarm is to sensitize us towards ongoing events and its end result,
And to keep us hot on our feet so we won’t be part of those whose love will have wax cold.
Mattew 24:8- “All this is nothing compared to what is coming.”
