Paul Dada is a journalist, a writer, an Editor-in-Chief and a TV analyst. Asides from being an award-winning journalist, he is a Christian singer and songwriter with several Christian songs to his credit.
Paul Dada’s latest musical offering titled “Useless Legs” is a song that tells the story of how an encounter with the name of Jesus can transform a man’s life.
In the first verse, he tells the Bible story of the crippled man at the pool of Bethesda which can be found in the book of John 5:1-15.
The cripple by all accounts had useless legs and was waiting for an opportunity to get into the pool so he could be healed. However, something better happened to the man: a chance encounter with Jesus healed his legs and the man with useless legs began to walk.
We see the same theme of useless legs receiving healing in the second verse but this time, the story is the encounter of Peter with the cripple at the temple gate called “Beautiful”; a story that can be found in the book of Acts3:1-11. Peter uttered the famously quoted words :“Silver nor gold I have not” after which the man with useless legs received his healing and began to walk.
The song encourages the listener that no situation is hopeless, even if you have been mocked, looked down on and counted out by naysayers. It teaches if the men with useless legs could receive their healing to run and walk again, then there is surely hope in Christ.
The song is well-composed with cool melodic tunes. The song is the work of an experienced music composer and writer and relays its message in time without unnecessarily stretching it.
The listeners to this song is sure to come away with a feeling of renewed hope believing that with God, all things are possible.
