Matthew 6:28-30 KJV
[28] And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
[29] and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[30] Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

And, yeah, I am the Author of Deep Rest, Not Depressed,
an uplifting book that invites you on a journey of self-discovery and healing, where rest becomes a luxury, and necessary for holistic health.
DCM: What led you to dedicate your life to ministering to teenagers and young adults?
Omodolapo: A little confession—my journey started with one Aunty Kemi.
She’d visit my secondary school, sharing inspiring stories that left a lasting impact on me.
But beyond those conversations, I realized there was a need for consistent guidance.
Reflecting on my own life and experiences, I saw that many people couldn’t relate to what I was going through.
I faced limiting beliefs and struggled to understand my purpose.
This fueled my passion to help others avoid similar struggles.
That’s when I began talking, coaching, and doing outreaches to teenagers and young adults.
My goal is to empower them to discover their purpose early on and live a fulfilling life.
It’s been a journey with God, driven by my experiences coupled with wealth of knowledge around me and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

DCM: Tell us more about the initiatives you have implemented to reach and disciple teenagers and young adults.
Omodolapo: My journey in ministry began in secondary school when I joined Mine Ministry.
This sparked a passion for outreach, conferences, and camp meetings, helping me become confident in speaking to teenagers and young adults.
Notably, I co-founded the ‘No Boundaries, No Limit’ NGO in 2020.
Now, four years old, we’ve made significant impact:
– Reaching thousands through annual conferences (physical and virtual)
– Orienting youth about tech skills and resources
– Hosting ‘Coaching Hub with Dee’ (three editions)
– Launching ‘The Beacons’ book, addressing key questions for teenagers and young adults
– Journaling experience: selling over 400 journals, teaching therapeutic journaling and Christ-centered reality
– ‘Limitless Story’ project: breaking barriers, limiting beliefs, and stereotypes through mentorship and testimony-sharing
Feedback and testimonies from these initiatives affirm our mission.
We’re committed to empowering teenagers and young adults, helping them unlock their potential.
DCM: Can you share a significant story of a teenager whose life was impacted by your ministry / initiatives and how it has encouraged you to continue better in it?
Omodolapo: I’ve been deeply humbled by the growth and testimonies of numerous teenagers around me.
They’ve witnessed remarkable breakthroughs which include:
– Academic turnarounds: from struggling to becoming top performers
– Purpose discovery: from uncertainty to making a meaningful impact
– Confidence boosts: from shyness to assertiveness
– Spiritual growth: from inconsistency to steadfast commitment
– University graduates: overcoming limitations to achieve academic success
– Financial breakthroughs: becoming blessings to their families and communities
– Embracing love: spreading love and acceptance
– Self-empowerment: gaining skills, resources, and self-trust
– Interpersonal healing: fostering genuine love for others
This journey has been amazing.
As someone called to be an instrument of change, I recognize that change begins with me.
Embracing this mandate, I strive to model the change I desire to see in others.
Omodolapo Lawal: “No Boundaries, No Limits”
DCM: How do you balance your leadership responsibilities with your personal life and relationships?
Omodolapo: To maintain balance, I’ve identified essential components:
- Classification: I categorize my life into three pillars: God, Family, and Purpose (encompassing Career, leadership and relationships)
- Prioritization: Understanding my phase in life enables me to focus on what’s crucial at the moment. I sieve through tasks to determine what comes first.
- Realistic Goal-Setting: I set achievable, implementable goals to avoid overwhelm.
- Accountability: I’m accountable to mentors and peers in my assignment.
- Celebration and Reflection: Sharing accomplishments helps me stay focused and intentional.
- The ‘Why’ Factor: Having a clear purpose propels me to balance and achieve my goals.
Effective balancing requires:
– God as my foundation
– Prioritization
– Accountability and support
– Realistic expectations
– A clear ‘why’ driving my actions
I’ve found balance and fulfilment in my journey by embracing those principles.
DCM: How do you help young people navigate difficult questions or doubts about their faith and abilities?
Omodolapo: To establish a strong spiritual foundation, I emphasize three crucial elements.
Firstly, intimacy with God is vital.
Developing a deep personal relationship with Him enables you to understand your purpose and abilities.
This foundation helps you navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
Secondly, clarifying your ‘why’ is essential.
Reflect on your motivations for following Jesus Christ.
Is it genuine conviction or external pressures?
Understanding your ‘why’ will help you navigate challenges and doubts, ensuring your faith remains firm.
Thirdly, refuelling your mind and spirit is critical.
Nurture yourself with truth, positivity, and wholesome content.
Avoid mental ‘junk food’ that can lead to insecurity and negativity.
Instead, feed your mind with uplifting material that fosters spiritual growth.
Prayer is another indispensable aspect of spiritual growth.
Prioritize meaningful communication with God, your Father.
Through prayer, you’ll receive guidance, strength, and peace.
You’ll cultivate resilience, clarity, and profound growth if you incorporate these elements into your spiritual journey.

DCM: What legacy do you hope to leave in the lives of teenagers and young adults?
Omodolapo: My ultimate goal and aspiration is to die empty, having fulfilled my purpose.
I long to leave this earth knowing I’ve made a lasting impact on teenagers and young adults, empowering them to discover clarity and understanding of their purpose.
Self-awareness is the key to unlocking their potential and changing every area of their lives.
My legacy aims to inspire a generation to recognize that their only limitations are those they’ve self-imposed.
I envision a future where young minds embrace boundless possibilities, unshackled by self-doubt and fear.
The mind is our most powerful tool; with positive affirmations and unshakeable assurance, we can achieve greatness.
My dream is that, long after I’m gone, my work will continue to ignite a fire within teenagers and young adults,
reminding them that no boundary or limitation can confine their potential, except those they’ve created themselves.
Omodolapo Lawal: “No Boundaries, No Limits”
DCM: What advice would you give to other young leaders who desire to make a difference in the lives of teenagers and other young adults?
Omodolapo: As young leaders, it’s essential to start with self-reflection.
Ask yourself, “Who am I?” and define your identity, purpose, and values.
Distinguish between genuine passion and the desire for superficial recognition.
Remember, there’s no pressure to constantly be in the spotlight; authenticity, not exhaustion, breeds lasting influence.
Instead, focus on nurturing meaningful relationships, prioritizing prayer and Scripture, and embracing your role as a Co-creator with God.
Develop a clear vision and mission statement, aligning with divine purpose.
Clarity attracts followers. Know yourself, stay focused, and lead with purpose.
DCM: What role does prayer play in your ministry, and how do you encourage teenagers to develop a good prayer life?
Omodolapo: Imagine going two weeks without food or water. Would you survive? I doubt!
This illustrates the vital role of prayer and intimacy with God.
Just as our bodies need physical sustenance, our spirits require spiritual nourishment.
We should not see prayer as a routine or want to do it because we are told to do it.
We should see it as an essential relational nourishment with God.
Neglecting prayer allows our flesh to dominate, leading to spiritual decay.
But when we prioritize prayer as fellowship and delight with God, we cultivate a deep, authentic relationship, experiencing koinonia (communion) with our Father.
DCM: Could you share with us your unforgettable testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace in your life?
Omodolapo: My life has been a testimony.
I’m deeply grateful for how God has always shown up for me.
Serving as Foursquare Gospel Church National Teens President, God consistently supplied helpers and resources, empowering me to serve effectively.
More recently, during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) experience, I faced unexpected challenges.
Feeling exhausted and uncertain, God surprised me with supportive individuals who became lifelines.
Just when I thought I’d be stranded, divine assistance arrived, enabling me to complete my service with success.
DCM: Do you have any other thing you wish to say?
Omodolapo: Remember, God loves you dearly and has your best interest at heart.
Never doubt His love or care for you.
In Matthew 6:28-30, Jesus reminds us:
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin.
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field… will He not much more clothe you—you of little faith?”
Take comfort in knowing you have a loving Father who cares for every detail of your life.
Trust Him completely and experience deep rest.
