New Mind
Your mind is like the CPU, the central processing unit, for your life.
This new beginning in your life is an opportunity to reset and refocus on the most influential part of your life–your mind.
Your mind is like the CPU, the central processing unit, for your life.
All of our decisions are made in our minds. How we perceive the world is through the lens of our mind.
Mostly everything you actively do, you thought about first.
You thought, “I need coffee,” and you go get yourself coffee.
And You thought “I’m bored,” and you go find something to do.
What we create and the work we do all starts in our mind.
Our mind is like a muscle. It can be strengthened and made more effective.
In fact, the Bible speaks to this in Romans 12:2 where we are warned to not copy the behavior and customs of the world,
but instead let God transform us into a new person by changing the way we think.
It’s when we renew our minds that we receive clarity about who God is and what He wants–a new perspective on what is in front of us.
The story of Joshua breaks down a way to refocus our minds on Jesus.
In it, God tells Joshua not to be afraid.
Now Joshua has plenty of reasons to be afraid. He’s never led the people of God without Moses.
And He’s never conquered the promised land.
Also, He’s never tried to establish a nation.
God knew exactly what Joshua needed to discover the leader within him and overcome FEAR,
so, God spoke three WORDS of encouragement over him — a word of purpose, a word of promise, and a word of presence.
Look what Joshua 1, verse 6 says:
“Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.”
New Mind
The same power of God’s spoken word over Joshua’s life can impact your life this year.
When we are in the Word of God, it has the power to speak to our purpose for life.
What can you do this year to renew your mind?
Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
New Mind
Do you know the purpose God has for you? If not, ask Him.
Have you recognized times in your life that you know God was with you even in your fear?
Joshua 1:8-9 KJV
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee?
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

New Mind
God’s promises.
Your mind cannot be renewed without knowing the Word of God or digging into what it says.
Here are some promises for you to reflect on right now:
- —Promise for Wisdom: James 1:5
- —-Promise for Forgiveness: 1 John 1:9
- —–Promise of Faithfulness: Deuteronomy 31:8
- ——Promise of Your Future: Jeremiah 29:11
- ——-Promise for Provision: Philippians 4:19
- ——–Promise for Purpose: Romans 8:28
- ———Promise for Salvation: Romans 10:9
If we aren’t reading about God’s promises for us, then we’ll never believe them!
This is why the promise for Joshua to “prosper and succeed in all you do” is contingent on:
“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it.”
These are amazing promises to know close to our hearts so we can begin renewing our minds.
As you spend more time in God’s presence and reflect on His word, you will notice more clarity in your life.
When we hear what God promises to us by being in the Word of God, we can then start believing those promises, which make them a reality in our lives!
Think of reading the Bible like food — you wouldn’t go a day without eating.
When we go without hearing from God, it’s like depriving our soul of the food it needs. (Matthew 4:4)
Life can sometimes feel like a continual war.
Some seasons are harder than others, but everyone experiences hardships.
Here’s what is great about God. His Word says He will be WITH you!
You don’t have to go through this battle, trial, or difficulty alone.
If you want to experience the blessing of God’s promises, you have to do what Joshua did — meditate on God’s Word.
Let it be the first thing you go to in the morning. And Let it guide and direct your day.
Also Let it feed your soul and point you to worship God.
And Let it encourage you in challenging times.
That’s the power of being in the Word of God!
God promised to be with Joshua everywhere he went, and He does the same with you.
As a matter of fact, the Great Commission given in Matthew 28:18-20 is for everyone.
It is where Jesus commissions His people to go make disciples, promising to be with us till the very end of the age.
Take a step back, get into God’s presence, and know that He will always be with you!
New Mind
Which of God’s promises means the most to you?
When has God been with you even when you were fearful?
Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV
And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

I loved you even more than you’ll say here. The picture is nice and your writing is stylish, but you read it quickly. I think you should give it another chance soon. I’ll likely do that again and again if you keep this walk safe.
