Mother on Her Birthday

I have often wondered why the Bible includes ‘Honor your father and mother’ among the ten most important commandments, Perhaps the reason is this: Gratitude is the mother of all virtues. without which humanity is fundamentally underdeveloped and wholly incomplete.

It can be challenging to find the right words to thank our mother, Margret Abimbola Ehinola, for her sacrifices. On the behalf of all of us, THANK YOU SO MUCH MUM!

There are so many stories of her sacrifices that I will never forget. Our mother is always there to show love and care, regardless of the situation, my siblings and I are ever grateful to you for taking such good care of us always, in Learning, in Character and in the Fear of the Lord! She taught us how to take care of ourselves, and how to be decent people.

At the ripe young age of above seventy, we thank God, mother is an adored matriarch of children, grand-children, and a great-grandchild. I have dedicated several of my modest achievements to her as the inspiration behind so much of me that is decent or good.

I can’t go without acknowledging the challenges she has faced in her life, the most significant being the loss of her precious daughter just a couple of years after the loss of her husband, our father.! How hard it must’ve been.!

On your birthday and always, I wish for your eyes to be free of tears.

Mother, we adore you. I’d like to wish the most beautiful mother on the planet, so many Happy days ahead in Joy, Peace and Love.

I cannot equal you in nobility or heroism. Less so can I ever climb your heights of sacrifice. But know that I will never forget, for the length of my days, that I am blessed with a mother who is extraordinary in every way.

Here’s to you Mum. Happy birthday maami, we wish you more love, strength, peace, and good health in the coming years.
