Gone are the days when spiritual innuendos were subtle most especially the diabolical ones which the majority try their best not to be associated with.
Unfortunately, today this subtlety has decreased alarmingly and being diabolical is now being associated with ‘some’ celebrities, influencers, and famous people. The connection between diabolical practices and fame is becoming obvious although not all famous people are diabolical.
A sister who was formerly possessed shared her testimony. She said she fell under the anointing under the ministration of her pastor and when ministered to, the evil spirit spoke through her that it can’t leave that body because he’s bound to her with her own words.
Later, she found out that the spirit possessed her in the first place because of the lyrics to one of her favorite worldly songs which she sings without knowing the implication of the words, she was now asked to denounce the spirit by listening to gospel music more than she has ever done. The spirit came into her via a worldly song, and it should be sent out via prayer and gospel songs.
The same way we communicate, go into trance, and worship with our maker via some gospel songs is also the Same way devil worshippers call upon him and give him glory because songs can be an altar to call on spirits whether Holy or Evil spirits.
The same way we have our church of Christ is the same way the church of the devil exists and by now we should know that it’s not merely a figment of imagination but is indeed a reality.
However, the media has been the largest source of much of the content consumed worldwide. This is done via sites, websites, Applications, Videos, songs, podcasts, Audio, texts, and books on social media Platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and so on.
There is almost unlimited access to the internet worldwide therefore we’re all exposed to unending bouts of information, entertainment, and other forms of communication that we don’t even realize we need, and this brings us to cultivating discernment in this digital age.
As a Christian, not all your form of entertainment needs to be biblical but anything that is against the Bible, against Christ, and your belief as a Christian should not be referred to as entertainment for you again, anything against Christ is Antichrist, simply put. So why should you as a Christian find Antichrist content entertaining and keep consuming it? Or is it because every other person does so?
An example of the so-called “Entertainment” is Doja Cat’s latest music video – ‘Demons’ which many refer to as “Art”, “Creativity”, “versatility” and many other fancy words but the video is passing across a message, even the song name is passing across a message.
Also, Nudity on the internet is rampant as the majority no longer find it shameful to bear important parts of their body, and this as well as censored or curse words, Violent content, Unrealistic Standards, and so on.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 says ‘Abstain from all appearances of Evil’ but when it comes to the media it can’t be avoided or abstained from, we can learn to cultivate discernment content on the internet. That is learning to scroll past contents that do not build up your faith or increase your knowledge positively.
We are all spiritually sensitive and it’s what we feed our mind, Ears, Eyes, and soul that determines the state of our spiritual life.
My admonishment however is that as we are being watchful of our media contents and media consumption let us also be intentional about our spiritual lives by being intentional about our spiritual activities to endeavor our growth.
To be continued in Part 2 –
Soulful Screens: Finding Spiritual Inspiration in Media.
Different Christians have varying interpretations of what is considered “Antichrist” content and what is appropriate for consumption. Some Christians may choose to avoid entertainment that contradicts their beliefs, while others may engage with a broader range of content.
The decision to consume certain types of entertainment is a personal one, influenced by individual convictions, spiritual guidance, and personal preferences. Christians often seek to align their choices with their understanding of biblical principles and teachings. However, interpretations of what is considered against the Bible or against Christ can differ among individuals and Christian denominations.
It’s important to remember that entertainment preferences are not solely influenced by what “every other person does.” People’s choices in entertainment are influenced by a variety of factors, including personal taste, cultural context, and individual convictions.
Ultimately, Christians are encouraged to exercise discernment and make choices that they believe will positively influence their spiritual growth and relationship with God. This may involve avoiding certain types of content or seeking out media that aligns with their beliefs and values. Each person’s journey in navigating entertainment choices may differ, and it’s important to approach this topic with respect and understanding for diverse perspectives within the Christian community.

We have to be mindful of what we expose ourselves to.
What an inspired write up!
This 21st century generation is tagged as a result of advancement in technology. As good as this technology is, far above is its disadvantages. As Christians,we can’t decide to cut off ourselves from technology, but we should allow the Holy Spirit to fill us the more as HE will continually teach and guide us on what we fill our hearts with using the technology.
This content is excellently put together. We need to be mindful of the things we expose ourselves to on internet, as we unconsciously assimilate and adopt some of these things and put them into practice but we wouldn’t know not until we have a thorough review of our actions and behaviors.
Wow I love this
