It’s been a year since I had an accident. But I woke up with a heart of gratitude to God. Last year I was in great pain.
In the early hours of January 20th, last year, I was knocked down by a vehicle coming from the wrong side of the road while going to my place of work. For the first time in my life, I was soaked in my blood.
As a result of the blood gushing out of my forehead towards my left eye, I thought I’d lost one of my eyes. And I was grateful that I could see with the other eye.
The atmosphere looked tense that morning. I thought I was dreaming, but never knew it was a reality. It was as if a battle was going on–I mean, I could see the hand of God truncating the plans of the devil.
There were some significant happenings in my life during that period but the Devil was fighting them. I don’t want to go into much detail.
If not for God’s mercy that overruled the devil’s plan, there would have been sorrow and lamentation in my family this day.
If not for God’s mercy, probably my bones would have been broken into pieces.
If not for God’s mercy I would probably have been diagnosed with a brain disorder due to the effect of the accident on my head.
Who am I Lord, that you are mindful of me?
I’m indeed grateful for life. Thank you. Abba Father for preserving me.
And when people ask me, this is all I can say, “it is the finger of God in my life”.
