The Katsina State Government has declared two days work free in order to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari on his official visit to the state.
The President is expected in the state on Thursday, 26 and Friday, 27, January 2023 and the holidays are to allow the civil servants to welcome him to the state.
In a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Culture and Home Affairs, Sani Kabomo, on Wednesday exempted Federal civil servants, bank workers and others who are on essential duties from the holidays.
Kabomo appealed to the workers and other residents to grant the visiting President a heartwarming welcome.
“As part of preparation to have Mr President on a 2-day state visit to the state, the government has declared Thursday, 26th and Friday, 27th, January 2023 as work free day to enable all workers of the state, Local Government Councils and Local Education Authorities to welcome him” he said.
