God’s Word Will Never Go Unfulfilled.-
Every average Nigerian teenager always made a plan for how their life will be in the next 10 years and I was one of them.
I finished secondary at 15 years to gain admission to study Bsc nursing at Unilorin. I took the first jamb, I was offered fishery and aquaculture. With 220 has my jamb score and 56% post-UTME.
My watchword then was it’s either “Nursing or Nothing”. I decided to try again the year after, this time around jamb jammed me.
After waiting for 2 years with no positive result, family and friends started suggesting different courses and schools to my parents. I kept on declining until I heard about nursing school and I decided to try.
That year, I applied to 3 nursing schools and didn’t pass any of the entrance exams. It was at this point I began to think my village people were after my life. It was not as if I was dumb. I was on the top 5 list in my secondary school and I have always represented them in different competitions and come back with success.
I was about to give up when I heard from a relative that I should go for an interview at one of the schools I applied for. ( I was 2 marks below the cut-off mark). I went for the interview, passed, and was offered admission to study nursing. But that’s not the end. My village people didn’t want to see me attain success.
I thought my pains were over until I sat for the weeding exam. I failed a course and was asked to repeat the class.
I became mentally drained seeing my mates in uniform and I’m still struggling to be among the 50 students that will be picked.
God did it, I passed but it didn’t end there.
2 semesters after, my grades began to drop as I would never be able to bounce back even if I tried.
I sat for my final exam once, and I passed, Now to the glory of God I am A REGISTERED NURSE.
Why am I sharing this?
I am proof that God’s word will never go unfulfilled.
