I woke up on 31st day of December 2016 feeling tired and having this awkward feeling. I wasn’t just at ease with myself at all.
I’m the kind of person that keeps things to myself because it tends to be a burden on others when I tell them.
On that very day I got to work feeling so sad and moody, people kept on asking me what the problem was but I kept on telling them “I’m fine.”
Then the day was finally over and we all returned to our various houses.
As we all know it was the last day of the year so “Crossover service” was very important, to usher us into a new year.
I got to the church really late and I was already tired, so I had to just sit down while the Praise section was on.
I noticed that there was this guy beside me, he wasn’t responding to anything they were doing.
At least I sat down just singing but he was just docile there. Well, I said lemme mind my business.
Just as we were about crossing over to “The New Year” as at 11:50pm, that particular guy that was sitting beside me fell on the floor and died.
No pulse was found.
He wasn’t unconscious, because his pulse had gone and I just couldn’t hear his heart beating anymore when I placed my head on his chest.
I ran to the back of the church to call one of the ushers in the church because it was as if nobody noticed it, I was the only mad person at that point in time in church.
He was rushed to the altar and some medical personel came around him and started checking him, finding a way they can get his pulse back, some mothers came with spoon trying to hold his teeth from meeting themselves.
It was already past twelve the boy was still lying down on the floor lifeless. We all forgot about “New Year”
The church began to pray oh, I was crying seriously because I never wanted to lose him.
Something happened after the Pastor of my church knelt down to pray and screamed his name “EBENEZER” that is his name.
He answered and got up immediately.
He’s my elder brother and we are not mourning him or doing his remembrance. God saved Him.
Let your life reflect the faith you have in God. Fear nothing and pray about everything. Be strong, trust God’s word, and trust God through the process.
