Free Medical Outreach and Support by Menitos
The Menitos Charity Foundation is committed to empowering vulnerable populations,
including children, individuals with disabilities, and at-risk women.
Their mission is to create a world where these groups can thrive, enjoying good health, education, and equal opportunities.
To achieve this, the foundation works tirelessly in local communities,
advocating for their rights and collaborating with like-minded organizations to drive meaningful change.
Notable initiatives undertaken by the Menitos Charity Foundation include WACANDA,
the Back to School program, and the Pop-up Market.
- WACANDA (War Against Child Abuse and Drug Abuse)
WACANDA is a coalition of NGOs and groups dedicated to combating child abuse through a two-pronged approach:
Drug Demand Reduction and Drug Access Reduction.
To achieve this, WACANDA focuses on sensitizing communities about the issues,
and providing access to treatment and rehabilitation resources.
Launched in September 2022,
the WACANDA initiative serves as a complementary program aimed at re-enrolling dropouts and preventing further dropouts.
The initiative’s activities include, visiting primary and secondary schools to educate students about the Truth About Drugs,
collaborating with religious, community leaders, and socio-cultural groups to establish focus discussion groups,
and organizing community learning and adaptation workshops focused on Drug Demand Reduction and Drug Access Reduction.

Back to School Initiative
The Menitos Back to School Initiative was launched in 2021, a year prior to the foundation’s official registration.
This program collaborates with public schools and community councils to identify students at risk of dropping out.
To support these students, the initiative provides essential school supplies, including:
– Notebooks
– Textbooks
– Past examination questions
– Other vital educational materials
The program gives special attention to children with special needs and those from vulnerable households.
In 2021, the initiative supported 50 students by providing them with essential educational materials,
including 10 notebooks each, four-figure tables, math sets, and dictionaries.
The initiative has set a minimum annual target of supporting 100 students.
In 2024, Menitos exceeded this goal, impacting 137 children, including physically challenged students for the first time.
Looking ahead, Menitos aims to significantly expand its reach, with an ambitious goal of supporting 1,000 children annually by 2030.

Pop-up Market Initiative
The Menitos Pop-up Market Initiative is an innovative Reduce, Reuse, Recycle program;
designed to promote sustainability and support underserved communities.
How it Works
Menitos conducts quarterly “Donation Drives” to collect neatly used items, including clothes, shoes, bags and toys.
These items are then sold in underserved communities at extremely low prices (0 to 1,000 Naira).
The funds raised support logistics for picking up items from designated drop-off points.
