Pride vs Promise
Originating from the Greek word ‘Homos’ meaning ‘The same’. It is the sexual attraction between humans of the same gender. It is believed to be the freedom of expression of sexuality and homosexuals are under the umbrella of ‘LGBTQ’ which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer.
A Lesbian is a woman or girl sexually attracted to another woman or girl. Gay is a man sexually attracted to another man. Bisexual is a sexual attraction towards both males and females. Transgender is someone who identifies as a gender different from the one they were born with, while queer is fit people still uncertain about their gender.

This is one of the craziest trends “the Gen Z” has ever participated in. However, let’s see the Bible’s perspective on this worldly trend of freedom.
Romans 1:26-28 ~ For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
Leviticus 18:22 ~ You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 ~ If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
Mark 10:6-9 ~ But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So, they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Jude 1:7 ~ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
1 Timothy 1:10 ~ The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching.
1 Corinthians 7:2 ~ But because of sexual immorality, each man should have his wife, and each woman should have her husband.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 ~ 18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. v19; Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; v20: you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.
You might be a Christian or you might know anyone who struggles with same-sex attraction, all hope is not lost as there’s still an antidote for the poison and this antidote can only function when accepted wholeheartedly and believed in. The antidote is Christ!
This is also to remind you of the significance of the rainbow (which is the flag of homosexuals but also a symbol of promise in the Bible) *‘I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth” – Gen 9:13 ‘*, Please, take note of this promise of salvation!
*‘If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. ~ Romans 10:9-10’*
