Lawyers and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu, say they will release a cheque of N1m for his drugs and feeding as the Department of State Security has run out of fund to care for him.
Special Counsel to Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, raised the alarm after visiting the IPOB leader with his family members on Thursday.
According to Ejimakor “He instructed me to make it public that he has not been given his drugs for the past nine days and he has not eaten today because DSS says that they don’t have money to buy his food.”
The younger brother, Prince Emma Kanu also attested to the story, he said when they visited him yesterday he had not eaten anything.
He stated that upon enquiry on the development from DSS the response was that there was no more fund to take care of him.
