“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present you requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:16-7
This is a better way to kick off your new week by getting intimate with God via his words.
Monday Aches, work pressures, commuting stresses, and it’s another five days of back-to-back work.
Don’t choose to embark on these five days journey with anxiety about the rest of your week but get prepared by planning each day ahead with the master planner (that sounds right!).
Start your week with a prayer dedicating the week to the Lord, you may be surprised how much better you feel about facing another week.
Below are compilations of few verses from the Bible that will give you assurance and Joy about the rest of the week.
- “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present you requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:16-7
This remains my favorite Bible verse of all times! I want you to slowly, and intentionally meditate on each line, let it sink in and take the appropriate steps.
-
“In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. My hope is in you all day long.” Psalm 25:1, 5
This is your sign to put your trust firmly in God and for you to ensure that your hope is not wasted on any other mortal but to the immortal God.
- “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
I know this shall be your portion from now on till eternity!
- “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod, your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:1-4
-
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” Matthew 19:26
- “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Jeremiah 29:11
- “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29
- “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:10-11
- “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” Isiah 40: 29-31
- “The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee” (Deuteronomy 28:8). All! In other words, everything you put your hands on is going to prosper! (Amen)
