Lord, I am bringing this issue of debt back up to You because
(1) You’re my best friend,
and (2) You’re the only one who really knows how to help me solve this problem.
It’s time to stop letting debt control your life.
In this message, you’ll get targeted prayers and scripture-based truths to transform your relationship with money.
So, you can break free from the financial bondage of debt and step into God’s best for your finances!

Debt-Breaking Prayers
Dear Heavenly Father,
I am so grateful that I can come to You at any time.
Your word says, “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
I am so grateful for Your mercy, help, and kindness.
Lord, I need it now.
I do not want to be in debt any longer. I’m asking that You would help me find my way out.
But first, I want to repent of any time I have not followed Your Word—any time I have chosen to worry instead of trust You!
You have proven to me over and over again to be faithful, and I choose now to magnify You above all else.
I consciously take my trust out of other things—bills, debt, upcoming expenses, inflation, status—
and put my trust back where it belongs, in You.
You never fail.
And You never leave me or forsake me.
Yes! You are for me and not against me.
Because of this, I can put my full trust in You.
I choose now to seek You and Your kingdom first and not let the pressure of being in the world affect my decisions.
I’m asking for Your grace and mercy as I learn a new way of thinking.
Help me to renew my mind in this area.
I ask that when I read what your Word says about money, it will come alive to me in a new and significant way.
Change me on the inside and let my actions be a reflection of that change.
I love you, Lord.

God, I exalt You above all else!
I magnify Your name above any issue here on earth. I give You my full attention.
Because You are so much greater than anything You created.
You are higher, You are wiser, You are stronger. Nothing stands a chance when it faces You.
So Lord, as I bring this debt before You,
I recognize that it is no comparison to the great riches I have found in You.
This is a tiny little problem that pales in comparison to You.
And because of that, I know I can trust that You will meet all my needs.
There is no need big enough to stress You out.
While I am doing my best to get out of debt, I trust that You will do what Philippians 4:19 says, that You will meet all my needs!
You see them. You know what they are before I do!
And I thank You that You WILL meet them all.
I lay down my preferences of how I want You to do things and I trust that You’ll provide.
Your name is Provider, so I lean on that.
I let go of understanding and choose to put my trust in You.
Help me Lord, to get out of debt and to find more of You in the process.
Help me to know you more and learn new facets of who You are.
I love you!

You said in James that anyone who lacks wisdom can ask You for it and YOU’LL GIVE IT!!
This feels like a crazy loophole that I don’t know how most people haven’t figured out,
but I’m gonna take advantage of it right now.
God, I need wisdom.
I need to know the things in my heart that need to be cleaned up in the area of finances.
Lord, I need to know where I have accidentally put more focus on the things of earth than you,
and where I may need healing for past situations or trauma around this topic.
(Yes) And I need wisdom for how to practically move forward.
What is it that You would have me do?
Your ways are higher than mine, so I commit to follow however You lead me.
But I need You to hold my hand. I need ideas and strategy and help with the follow through.
And I need an action plan and accountability.
You said I can ask for wisdom.
Here I am asking for it.
Give me wisdom in all these areas and in the ones I haven’t mentioned that You know I need wisdom in.
Again, I choose to put my trust in You and not the wisdom of the earth, but in Your ways.
Show me where I have missed it in the past and get me on the right path to complete freedom in this area.
I love You, Lord!
