Chai! 90-Year-Old Mama Don Finish For University

Shey you don hear?  Abi you never hear? One old mama wey be 90 years old don go university komot o.

Her name na Joyce DeFauw. She be oyibo woman and na Northern Illinois University, for America she go.

But e take mama 71 years to get her degree for General Studies o. E shock you? No let am shock you to much. Na 1951 mama DeFauw first start the university o. But she no finish. She komot go marry born pikin. And na she be first person for her family to go university.

But later her husband come kpeme. Five years after the man die, she marry another man. She get six pikin for second husband o. She even born twins two times.

Mama Defauw sha get  17  grandchildren and  24 great-grandchildren.  But as per to go back to school, she say na her family encourage am to go.

She say: “ E no good make person dey give up. And if person komot hand for something good, make dem return to am and kontinue to hold am. “.
