Every March is meant to celebrate women but it does not have to be the same and celebrating Women does not have to be all about women of today either. Let’s take a step ahead with this year’s edition and celebrate some of our favourite Biblical Women.
The Likes of Eve, Rahab and even Haggai; The roles they played during their lifetime and the impact/lessons gathered from their Actions because Every woman is worth celebrating well.
Cheers to Ruth the Moabite Who stuck with her mother-in-law despite everything she went through and despite her mother-in-law asking her to go seek greener pastures.
Ruth’s Loyalty, Faith, Contentment, Humility, Bravery, obedience, Virtue and love should be Studied and inculcated by the women of this generation and generations to come.
Another Biblical Woman is Deborah, The only female judge mentioned in the Bible.
Deborah was Compassionate, Brave, God-fearing and multi-talented.
Her story tells us that the Lord calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things that can only be accomplished through the Spirit.
Another Woman worth Cheering for is Eve, Who represents the essential life-giving maternal function of women.
Did you know Eve is the founder of the garment industry? How you may ask? Well, She and Adam, Genesis 3:7 tell us “sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.”, She is intelligent and rational, ambitious and brave.
Though her character might be controversial, the fact remains that she is the source of humanity and the mother of all nations.
Mary Magdalene is a typical example of not letting your past weigh you down no matter how bad or hard it might look; Come to Jesus as Mary Magdalene did, Follow him in all honesty and watch your life change for good.
Different Roles were assigned to Mary Magdalene in the four gospels: disciple, witness, caretaker and a woman cured from evil spirits. In all four gospels, Mary Magdalene is a prominent woman that, in the company of other women, accompanied Jesus through Galilee and even joined him in Jerusalem.
Last but not least for this edition of Biblical Heroines is Esther.
Esther was a young Jewish woman living in the Persian diaspora who finds favour with the king, becomes queen, and risks her life to save the Jewish people from destruction.
Esther is a role model to many Christian women because of her Bravery, Great patience, Virtue, Humility, Wisdom, Faithfulness, Selflessness Obedience, Compassion and Godly Beauty.
Your reading this is not a mistake or a waste of time, This is God giving you signs to take actions that generations to come will be proud of, That God will be proud of and you will look at your achievements and give a sigh of contentment.
Being a woman is not a mistake and as a man, Having women around you in any role in which they fit in your life it’s not a mistake, Learn to appreciate yourself as a woman and Appreciate other women around you. May God help us all.
