President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has been praised for its work on infrastructure development by Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese.
The praise came from Kukah during his Christmas sermon, “Let us turn a new leaf,” which he spoke on Sunday in Sokoto at St. Mary Catholic Church.
He urged greater coordination of anti-corruption initiatives, stating that Nigerians recognized that the country’s physical environment had significantly improved, particularly in the area of highways.
He urged Nigerians, especially those who had been entrusted with the care of the public trust and the commonwealth, to fulfill the obligations for which they had been so richly compensated.
“Those in elected office must understand that they haven’t been given the keys to our nation’s coffers just so they can use it as their own funds.
