Testimony of an effective prayer.
Her request and faith were small, but the very gentle Lord does not despise either a weak faith or a small request.
Matthew 21:22 KJV [22] And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
A woman who was lying in bed had a very severe headache.
She told her friend at her bedside, “If only I could sleep for 10 minutes, I would feel better.” Her friend said nothing but prayed that God would give her friend 10 minutes to sleep.
Her request and faith were small, but the very gentle Lord does not despise either a weak faith or a small request.
The woman did sleep and commented that this was the best sleep she had ever had.
A specific prayer is very powerful.
We must pray specifically if we want God to give us what we need.
Children are free to come to their parents to ask for even the most insignificant things. Their only hope of getting what they want is simply asking for it specifically.
In our prayer, there are times when God wants us to pray specifically and openly to express our desires to Him.
Do we always pray specifically about the desires and longings of our hearts?
Let us begin to open up to God and reveal the specific desires and longings in our hearts.
Prayer is a mighty instrument, not for getting man’s will done in heaven but for getting God’s will done on earth. (Robert Law)
