Nike sneakers lose steam as sales and interest declines.
It has been a challenging period for the Nike brand as they experience a decline in their sneakers’ sales.
Data has shown that recently, the Adidas Samba sneakers, has taken the lead in the United States search interest volume, meaning a shift in interest for consumers.
Concurrently, the brand is experiencing a significant fall in their resale prices, revealing that people are gradually losing interest in their footwear.
Probably, one of the reasons for this decline is the lack of innovative new products in the market, as competitors are relentlessly trying to steal the stage.
Although, it is fair to say that it remains the most desired footwear option among teenagers in the United State,
it is only a matter of time before the popular sneaker label falls out of its number one spot if new decisions aren’t made.
This result has posed to be a serious hurdle for the new Chief Executive of the brand, Elliot Hill, who resumed office on Monday, 14th of October.
With the current market data of the label, Elliot Hill will have a lot of work to get down to, trying hard to place the brand back at the top of its retail game.

Prada collaborates with Axiom to design space suits.
On Wednesday, the Italian luxury brand, Prada, and Houston-based startup, Axiom Space, unveiled a new space suit design for the next Artemis III lunar mission.
The space suit, designed and developed, is to be used for the 7th manned landing on the moon, since the Apollo 17 of 1972, which was the last.
This lunar journey is to take place in 2026,
and might also be a historical one since it might be the first moon landing that will include a female astronaut and also a person of color.
The Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU), as the suit is called, has been designed to protect crew from harsh temperature changes and lunar dust.
Reports have also shown that it has been engineered to enable astronauts to spacewalk for at least eight hours.
Matt Ondler, president of Axiom Space, embraced the idea of diversity in innovation,
according to him, “Innovation really comes when we put diverse teams together, diverse backgrounds, different educations, different skills”.
Recently, the idea of partnership and collaboration keeps growing and we see completely distinct sectors come together to make innovation.
Previously, Pierre Cardin, the french fashion house, unveiled an astronaut training suit,
which is to be used at the European Space Agency’s center in Cologne.
