Mr Eliyu Simiyu, the Kenyan self-proclaimed Jesus of Bungoma (yesu wa Tongaren), has informed the Kenya Police Service that his life is in danger following rumours that he will be crucified during Easter.
It was gathered that he made the report after some residents of Bungoma said he must be crucified during Easter just like Christ was.
Local media in Kenya reports that the residents assured him that if he is truly the messiah, which he claims to be, he will resurrect on the third day and go to heaven as Christ did.
Not taking the threat likely, he has since reported the matter to the police station seeking police protection from the scheming locals.
